WOW! After reading all of the reviews of those who have actually read the book, I'm wondering if I ought to just pitch it and not waste my time? I just started The Atlantis Gene, but if it's just going to drive me to drink.... maybe I'll pick something else?

I didn't find it dark, but it will have it's ups and downs. It's not all rainbows and sunshine, but it does a good job of never letting you lose hope. I want to say more, but I don't want to give any spoilers. I will note that I listened to the audible version and recommend that way if you are capable. I hope that you gave it a try (or at least are willing to eventually). :)(less)
