I think in the case of Tavo and Tarsha, someone in the grandparent era had shown ability but none in the generation of their parents, which is why it was so rare and unpredictable to know who got it. That explains why they had no knowledge of how to control the use of the wishsong properly because no one was alive in the family to tell them, plus the Druids were not regarded as a source to ask.(less)
