I am in love with your Carolina series!! So far I've read "The Prayer Box" and "The Story Keeper". Each one has left me feeling uplifted and encouraged! "The Prayer Box" actually helped motivate me to start my own prayer journal, and was paramount in rekindling my prayer life. Do you keep any kind of prayer box or journal? What do you find most helpful in maintaining your own prayer life?

Those stories were a labor of love for many reasons and it has been a joy to watch them travel out into the world and hear back from readers who've shared the journey. To answer your question, I do keep a prayer box. It was given to me as a gift after I spoke at a book club meeting years ago. It was actually that prayer box that inspired the book. I just looked at it one day and had a vision of that closet in Iola's house, the shelves filled with boxes representing the years of her life. For me, taking the time to pen my prayers on paper has been helpful not only in reflecting but also in looking back long after the fact.
