Lisa Wingate Since the answer would be a spoiler here, I'll suggest that you could go back to page 297-8 and reread some clues that Grandma Judy put in the book she started to write and that Avery found. Several readers have told me that they rushed through the book the first time, but when rereading it, they picked up on the clues here and there explaining Judy's place in the Foss family.

Hi Lisa - I really enjoyed listening to this book on Audible. It is so sad this could actually happen to a family. It's horrible enough they're poor, but to rip them apart seems completely unreasonable. Not bad enough, some of them end up with horrific people at the Children's Home and are abused.
