Most of us do not object to homosexuality; all persons are created to live out their God given life to include their sexual orientation. It's the 'in your face', 'front and center', 'see me', 'feel me', 'hear me' message that is objectionable to some people. I wonder if Mary Ellen is asking if the work is constructed for the sole purpose of an 'in your face' advocacy of homosexuality? Because these works sabotaged by agendas, can overshadow the novel.
