How do you get inspired to write?

Roland Odinkemelu I get inspired to write through observation or paying attention to the things around me. Often, I don't get to see everything but subconsciously I absorb it all. Later those observations will come to the fore and something will pique my interest and my mind then begins to formulate an idea. In going through a series of what ifs, I will be drawn to make notes. Those notes will produce the book title. With that, I will write my log line, then synopsis, and the process of developing characters for the new manuscript begins.
