Several of the (single) side characters have sex that is mentioned in the books, though it isn't ever detailed since it isn't their story. Sex is mentioned in book seven for Cyrus and Reeve, though again- it isn't detailed.
Many of my characters, both male and female, enjoy healthy and safe sex lives when they are single which I, personally, see nothing wrong with.
