Just bought "Talking to the Dead" last week, then immediately bought and binge-read the next four books. I was heartbroken at the end of book three. Kept reading of course. got to book five. Fairly claustrophobic and actually put the book down. Finally just skimmed through it a bit to a point where I could start actively reading again. Will we all be without Fiona until 2018?

This isn't a question :-) just wanted to say that your Fiona Griffiths series is my absolute favorite contemporary mystery / police procedural / thriller series. And I read so many books in those genres I'm actually starting to run out. Please keep going, and keep up the incredible quality of your plotting, writing, and characterization. Finally, do you feel any pressure to write faster? I hope not.

Hi Harry..a question and a thank you. Just finished The Strange Death of Fiona Griffiths in 2 sittings. It is such a treat to read your books. Fiona is fascinating and the most original female protagonist in years! You mentioned that your publisher wanted this one more grim, which it certainly was. Do you see a return to a lighter mood in the next one or to continue wuth a darker tone?
