Seems like it'll be Pride and Prejudice...ah well it's always fun to discuss the book.

message 2: by Sunny (new)

Sunny Aw, snap. I've already read Pride and Prejudice, and I was hoping for something new...

message 3: by Sophie (new)

Sophie Love Pride and Prejudice but I've read it and also like Sunny, was hoping for something i haven't read. However it is an awesome book and look forward to discussing it.

message 4: by Sunny (new)

Sunny I will probably go ahead and read Cloud Atlas on my own in lieu of a re-read of P&P...

message 5: by John (new)

John The Totally Awesome Thank the great tangerine duck it won't be The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time.

Do it, then I can encourage you if you find it tough reading.

That's awesome! "...the great tangerine duck..." Oh, I'm totally using that someday! LOL!

Not really. But the structure is weird. You have to like each story and pick the connections up. You also have to stick with the first half... But I really liked it in the end.

message 10: by Sunny (new)

Sunny Sounds kinda weird. I've put it on hold with the library --- I'm intrigued.

message 11: by Sunny (new)

Sunny Still waiting for Cloud Atlas from the library. But, since I've already read P&P (and wasn't head over heels about it), maybe I'll give another Austin book a while. Sense and Sensibility.

I think I may join you for that one Sunny. :)

message 13: by Sunny (new)

Sunny Oh, cool! A buddy read! Let me know when you're ready to start.

Up to you. I just got The Casual Vacancy and have a feeling that I will not be able to concentrate on anything else until I finish it. But otherwise none of my tbrs for this month are calling my name.

message 15: by Sunny (new)

Sunny I'm expecting to pick up TCV from the library this afternoon, so I'll be right there with you. LOL!

Cloud Atlas is ready for me to pick it up tonight at the library. I'm sorta bummed - they were SUPPOSED to have The Casual Vacancy for me...

Don't be too bummed. I started Casual Vacancy and while it is good so far it has NOTHING on Cloud Atlas, which is now one of my all time top books.

message 18: by Sunny (new)

Sunny Well, that makes me feel much better! I'm already started on Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, but will likely start Cloud Atlas next.
