I think Zimmer is really good. I'd be happy to read any book of his.

Still wanna read Zimmer or Pinker, but I'm not reading GEB. :( I want to, but it's a big one to take on right now.
Josie, so far, in Gödel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid, the table of content is scarier than the content. I enjoyed the section on Bach and Escher is a no brainer for me, since I grew up looking at Escher.
