Hi, Joshua. I can tell you why I suggested Oblomov: have you ever felt drained, without any other desire than lie in a bed and hope a new day comes and wipes away all the negative feelings you've been facing? Well, I've recently felt this way and, when I first read the plot, I thought: «that's me!». I don't know if I've acted like Oblomov or not — I hope not — but I'm eager to find it out and reveal other possible similarities.

I nominated The Poetics of Space as the descriptions appeal to my interest in architecture and design, especially when aesthics blend with the practical, as well as our psychological response to our homes, offices, etc.

I have been one of the voters who has never been ready to read Pere Goriot--and I am happy to say that I finally picked it up. Enjoying it much more than I expected. Not sure who keeps nominating Le Pere Goriot but if you want to do a side read, I should be done in a couple of days.
