Of the 1970's Koontz books, I've only read Shattered. Here's my opinion on Shattered: It's a short story (my edition was approx. 100 pages). Mostly about a chase across several western states,there were mentions of prejudice in many forms and offered a view of the US following the Vietnam War and Kennedy assassinations. I enjoyed it and certainly think it's worth reading. I read Shattered in March 2007.

Good Lord, that's a long time ago! I can't remember the plots of those books anymore, but they did establish me as a Koontz fan. So--I can't vote for one, but as a whole, they kept me interested in the author.

I read them all so long ago...however I remember Night chills the most and even picked it up to read again. My personal fav all time book is still Lightning and then watchers.

I have a feeling Lightning will be nominated for a group read :-) and even if it doesn't win in February - I don't think it will be long before it's chosen.

Yeah a reason for me to read it yet again!

Sheesh, I don't remember any of these. I don't think I read them.

Out of the 5 I remember I picked The Key To Midnight. 2nd place goes to Demon Seed, 3rd to Icebound.
