Poll
We are looking at starting a new challenge in September, and to have one going in 2023.
We can do it two ways: have a short challenge running through the end of the year, then starting a new long challenge with the new year; or just start straight in with a longer challenge. What direction do you want to go? As a rough estimates, a short challenge would run up to about 1200 pages, a long challenge typically 1800+. See the latest Challenge discussion for more info.

Hi Chaz, you received this notification because you joined the Hugo/Nebula Best Novel group -- we read them together month by month, with some occasional special reading challenges run by the group. You can learn more by reading the introductory FAQs in our forums.
We have no control over the functionality of Goodreads, and using other software would require abandoning the platform as a whole.

Hi Chaz, glad to have you in the group. This poll is a follow-up to a discussion here:

I recently discovered that my e-mails regarding polls were not going to all members, so you probably received this notice as my correction of that issue. Hopefully now you'll be better able to join in the forum chatter.
Challenges are books we read in addition to the two monthly books, typically a series that has at least one nominated book, with others not nominated a crucial part of the overall story; or where we're continuing a series where we've read the first book as a monthly read, etc. The guide to series, which includes a list of the books and the overall length, can be found here:

Hope that helps!

I have one suggestion, and that is to have software to better present forums and sub forums.
With a model like the following..
