I've only read Urban Shaman and it didn't inspire me to read any more of the series.

I'm with Amy. Urban Shaman was a disappointment. I know sometimes the first book in a series is the weakest. (Storm Front in the Dresden Files and the first Harry Potter are examples for me.) This first book took its magic from the internet and the cultural appropriation made me crazy...
