Poll

Vote for the book you'd be most likely to read and discuss in January, 2020. These are from the era we've tagged 'New Age', 1960-1979, but there's at least one adventure, short story anthology, and humorous collection.

Cheryl Nine choices! Vote carefully. Consider changing your vote to your second choice before Dec. 5 if it looks like your first choice doesn't have a chance. Consider that there well need to be a runoff among the few most-popular. We'd love to have a clear winner, but consider that there's a chance we'll be reading two books even if we have a runoff poll.

Also, campaign for your choices!

Cheryl I would love to read Woman on the Edge of Time but it's not one of the shortest reads so I wouldn't want to read it along with something else. I'll withhold my vote for now.

Adrian Well I nominated and voted for Edmund Cooper. I remember buying some of his books from a cut price bookshop back in the late 70s. I read quite a few of his then, but never since, luckily I still have them.
So come on, help me relive the late 70s and vote for The Cloud Walker

Cheryl This group really should read something by Cooper - not a famous name, but apparently influential and respected in his day, at least.

Cheryl Less than a week left. It sure would be nice to have a majority winner instead of just a plurality. Anyone who wants to change their vote... now would be a good time!

Cheryl The other mods and I have determined that we get to read two books again. These are different enough from one another that I imagine there will be participation on one or the other from a lot of different readers. But if you can make time, read both!
