Huh. Some of the nominees didn't make it on the list. Is that because they need to seconded or something?

What did I miss, Kirsten? There was so much conversation but not really nominations as I saw. The only one I rejected was Red Mars and I asked for another nomination.. I'm sorry if I missed something in the discussions...

What about the JD Robb nomination? I'm sorry if I forgot a rule with Red Mars.

There's no rule re Red Mars (so you didn't forget one) but Bill did ask you for a different nomination since this group's reads tend to be more mystery/crime/thriller etc., I didn't see a response.

And then I went back and checked, and while J.D. Robb's name was bounced back and forth several time, no one actually nominated any of her books.

I thought there was a Nora Roberts nomination and there was a sidetrack to a discussion about J. D. Robb.

Nope ... go back and look -- Skye said she was thinking about Nora Roberts but no title was ever mentioned.

We have a tie for book #2. Is it too late to ask the other people (those who voted for the six books with fewer votes) to vote to break the tie? Or do we have three books to select from this month?

It's Bill's call; we'll wait to see what he'd like to do. It has happened in the past that we've had 3, but let's hang on for a bit.

If the people who nominated the two books tied for 2nd place are still willing to moderate, then we'll have three books to discuss. I'll let you know. Sorry for not answering sooner, I was driving back from Victoria today. Thanks for keeping an eye on this, Nancy.
