My summer has been and gone but I managed either 21 or close to - I'll be aiming for another 21 when next summer rolls around :) Wouldn't be sure what book I'm looking forward to the most, perhaps I Am Pilgrim (I'm finally getting around to that).

Definitely over 20, but not sure exactly how many I'll finally read. At least that's the goal. Just finished Beartown. Currently reading The Big Leap. Next up is Moloka'i. Not sure after that. Probably This Is How It Always Is. After that, who knows?
Honestly, I expect five in my case. I always keep saying "It's summer, I will definitely read many books" and it usually ends the same - more travelling than reading. I actually cannot read when I'm tired and, considering my style of travelling and enjoying the holidays with my friends, I quickly get sleepy when I finally have some time to open a book. However, audiobooks turn out to be very useful then. ;)
I was planning to read two books per month, and that means 6 books this summer. BUT, because I will finish with the exams (the last one being on 16th of June), I will definitely read more than 11 books. Anyway, this is what I plan on doing.
Not sure on the precise number of books, but I have four definite books lined up for holiday reads - and these are tree books for once!
Plus I may well read some of Mum's books:
Not to mention whatever lands on the kindles whilst I am away.... Think I have this on pre-order for delivery whilst I am away...
I'm going to read at least 15 books but my goal is to read more than 20. Last year I read 21 and I have a great feeling for this summer.
Well it's summer all the time here... And I won't be having much of a holiday since there are so many extra classes to attend before our O levels come around, so I think I'd be happy with even 1 book sadly ^^"
Based on past performance, I will read somewhere between 20 and 35 books during the summer reading season (as defined by my public library, at any rate). We'll see what it actually works out to be.
I have 46 books on my list and I can't stop adding to it! There are so many good summer themed books out there!
Definitely plan to read at least 10 books. Among those I want to get to:
--The Final Empire
--A Conjuring of Light
--The Ersatz Elevator
--Lord of Shadows
--Eld
So excited!!!
I am working my way thru a 600+ page tome of Lovecraft at nights (and only have about 250 pages left), so the majority of my books that I am planning on getting thru will be at work on breaks and before I have to clock in. I never read anything really heavy during those times.....
As I still must work, even tho it's summer, I will be doing good if I manage the 3-5 category. One can always hope, tho!
I am planning to read at least 10 books but hope to read more. I have a backlog of at least 10 that I am looking forward to devouring during the summer! Enjoy!
I can usually get through a book every two weeks during school, so I predict that I'll be finishing around a book a week during the summer, hopefully I'll be able to complete a little over 10 books by the time school starts again.
I would have a strong feeling that I will read way, way too many books this summer... if that were possible.
I'm really looking forward to reading The Dark Tower Series by Stephen King and to start The Wheel of Time Series by Robert Jordan/Brandon Sanderson. I will read other stand alone novels along the way, but they are usually just random ones I feel like reading. I'm so excited!
My reading challenge for 2017 is 101 books. So far I've completed 43 so 21 or more over the summer sounds doable.
Five a month works best for me. If I go over the limit, I'm good. With a kid entering college and another going back and forth to camp, we'll see how my schedule opens for more books.
My 2017 reading challenge is 140 books. Right now I'm at 55, so I have to keep up the pace! Also, I'm in a couple of classics challenges and some of those books are so long! But I'm really enjoying it and looking forward to some fun reading this summer :)
My 2017 reading goal is 76 (I'm currently at 34) and my summer goal is 25.Specific TBR:
American Gods.
The Dream Thieves.
Blue Lily, Lily Blue.
The Raven King.
I surpassed my goal last year by quite a bit, so, just gonna be optimistic :)
I hope to read more than 20. I have so many books in my to-read list, so many books at home! Just so many things to learn about!
Gonna read some classics this summer, including The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
Besides, I also want to finish the unfinished ones, including Ready Player One by Ernest Cline and Station Eleven by Emily Mandel.
i wanted to read 2 books per weak during this summer. i ll definitely read, but school books, cause studies are on my head. hope one day i ll also read 10 to 15 novels during summer and post it on this comment box. but till that time i ll be reading only 2 books this summer. so those who don't have studies and work pressure, best of luck for a good long read!!!!
I love reading in the summer. I can just sit outside in a comfy chair in the sun and read an amazing book. And then I can just do that every single day! I love reading in summer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My goal is always 50 for the whole year, so that's about... 13ish for the summer? I've been trying for 50 for the past few years and haven't managed it, but I think I might pass it this year! So excited for all the books!! (Also, not to be THAT GUY, but if you want to be goodreads friends I'd love to!)
I'm just hoping to read 11+ books over the summer from my want to read list. I could do with reading more as my list just keeps getting longer and longer.

My goal for the year is 175 and I'm at 67, 1 book behind schedule. Now that my library is complete and I have my indoor and outdoor reading spots, just got a chaise for the deck, I'll be able to manage over 20 books this summer. Shooting to read a lot of physical books I already own.
Selten Kaninchen wrote: "I would have a strong feeling that I will read way, way too many books this summer... if that were possible."Not possible. You can never read/have too many books!
While I AM awaiting some next issues of a few graphic novel series I've been loyally following (which will "up" my "Read" list number), I'll be making my way through a few more meaty books as well. And there will be the in-betweens. So 6-10 is a reasonable estimate.
I don't want to overwhelm myself like I'm wont to do, so 6-10 seems like a pretty median answer. Just started re-reading Harry Potter, so that's seven books right there (plus Fantastic Beasts and The Cursed Child, which makes nine). On second thought, maybe I should've chosen 11-20 instead...
Goodness, I have so many books in my stash, I'll just be grabbing whatever strikes my whimsy! I have the whole game of genres from historical fiction to mysteries, classics and comedic. There's no way I'll be seen anywhere without a book or my kindle in my hands or my purse!
I don't plan how many books I'll read, I just want to read wonderful books outside in a comfy chair with an icy drink for as long as I want!
