Define "Summer". Are we talking June, July & August? Are we talking equinox (6/21) to equinox (9/21)? Are we talking temperature? In Texas "Summer" starts in May and goes to October (at least). So how many books will I read? I've been averaging 6-7 a month, so let's say at least 21.
Being a teaching assistant, it means I get 6 weeks off! So I plan on spending that time reading and not a lot more. However I'm not very often a fast reader so I dont get through many books in a short amount of time. Lets see what the summer brings.
I have an enormous pile of almost 30 books waiting for me... and summer is one of the best moments to read! Well, actually, it's always a wonderful moment to pick up a book ;) But we all know summer has something about it :3
I hope to read at least 12, not sure of all of them yet, but top of my list will includeThe Unmumsy Mum Diary by Sarah Turner
Prince Lestat and the realms of Atlantis by Anne Rice
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (the screenplay of the movie)
The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood (I want to re-read this before I watch the series, which I am currently recording!)
at least one Robin Hobb book, cos she's a fave of mine
Beyond that, I'll choose as I go!

It is non-stop. Lots of twists and turns, some you will anticipate and others will come out of the blue but not be out of the world. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
6-10 because i have two monsters on my list: Jonathon Strange and Mister Norrell and Les Miserables. I am starting both from scratch
Definitely have at least 20 on "the list" for now. I follow so many Brit mystery series, it's easy to do.
I put down 6-10 because this summer is my non-fiction summer with mostly biographies and a lot of university prep. I'll probably manage close to 7 over my two month break, but one can always hope for more!

I'm going for 6 to 10. Newly retired and hope to read each and every night before I go to sleep. It will be nice not to have to get up early, so perhaps I will be able to read later into the evening.
I'm retiring next month. Yippee!!! I will finally have time to read. Can't wait to sit on the back porch with a book and a glass of wine. I'm hoping to read a lot of Donna Leon and Henning Mankell.
I am in the 2017 reading balance. My goal is 180. I am 107 in so I will keep up the pace. Foe the summer 20 or more to meet my goal.
I'm off from school (work) for 10 weeks, so my goal is about 25 books. I'm so grateful for the extra time to read.
Since I'm working alot through summer I voted to read only 6 -10 books. I hope to finish the Enwor Series by Wolfgang Hohlbein and I do plan to start with the Mercy Thompson Series by Patricia Briggs.
