This was a hard one for me to choose. I've been wanting to read so many of these! Of course, I wanted to read the one I nominated....Heartstone. But I have Ren on my list, Roseblood, Carve the Mark, etc, etc.... the ones I didn't have I do now...lol. This was a great group of choices. It's just so hard when there are mainstream picks up against some non-mainstream, they don't have a fighting chance. Kinda sad, it happens every time. :( Oh well, I guess I don't care which wins, because I want to read them all!! :)

I always ( often) nominate personal faves, just love getting other people to love my faves.
skulduggery pleasant IS a bestseller worldwide, tho thats true for a lot of books. ALSO rick riordan recomends the series so thats great promotion. anyway thinking that if I nominate picks like thise either a) they might win and more people read them or b) people see the titles get intrigued and read them anyway.

Looks like is February's winner!!

You know, I've been wondering if we should do 2 BOTM reads each month--one more mainstream, and one with Indie authors. Especially since David is an Indie author and we all support him and other Indies! But this is Karen's department, so I'll leave that up to her :)

Sure we can absolutely do this!! I've seen several comments about the mainstream books always winning, so let's have a couple of options! :)
