When you say "best clone", do you mean "the clone that is most alike the original", or do you mean "the clone featured in the highest quality book or series"?

I assumed the one that most resembled REH was best... But having read them ... Perhaps quality trends with something different. Anything to spur discussion.

I love Imaro, with all his savagery, but he lacks that "have fun at all costs" spirit that runs through Conan's veins. I'll go by Elak, just for that.
I love the Imaro stories, and I really loved the Brak stories I read back in the 60's/early 70's. However after thinking about it, I had to go with Elak as well. Author Henry Kuttner
was a great talent who died way too soon.
I voted for Brak (over Thongor and Kothar); I would argue that Imaro is the best written ...but is not a "clone" of conan (even though he continues/expands the Sword & Sorcery genre).I just started Elak--I like him better than the above mentioned "clones." Although not as unique as Imaro, Elak still feels like his own character rather than a clone.
