In a atrocious turn of events, Goodreads has decide to remove DMs.

Buddy reads are at stake.
Civilisation, as we know, is ending.
We can’t just sit around and watch this apocalypse unfold.

So I'm thinking of making a PETITION on change.org.

Goodreads is closing down pms and we are NOT here for it. Thats the place we create our best connections and our closest bonds and gr cannot take it away cuz wtf whyy

hey besties!! in light of recent chaos that goodreads has caused (like seriously, gr had one job), I'm putting this poll out here if you guys want to dm me about literally anything or stay connected on instagram or fable or storygraph (I'm not leaving gr dw). Because as much as I hate this app, it is where I first made the most loveliest friends and got to know many of you personally over msgs that started with a simple hi. You all are the major reason why I started my bookstagram journey, and I never want to lose the connection I have with you all ever.

hi, my darlings! i believe most of us have seen the new update that goodreads will be rolling out soon, which will eliminate the messaging system. I love messaging you guys and planning buddy reads and I just don't see how that will be possible with this update. so, i've created both fable and storygraph (although storygraph doesn't have private messages, it has an amazing buddy read system) accounts and would love to continue our connection over there. I don't plan to leave goodreads yet, but it's nice to have alternatives.

Heyy! I just wanted to say I created a StoryGraph and Fable! I'm going to be more active on Fable I'm not sure about StoryGraph I just made it lol. I will still be active on Goodreads as well but I personally prefer the features on those apps/websites more. I really like Fable it basically has everything Goodreads doesn't!
