Phyllis Moore’s Bio

I travel by the power of my imagination to far away planets where people are still dealing with insecurity, rejection, and love. I travel to worlds where physics yield to magic and anything can happen.

I’m a Christian who likes to read and write family friendly science fiction and fantasy. I also read mysteries and young adult novels.

I write for those who love to read, but who are too busy to read a 600-page novel. I write novellas that can be read in a few days. I will take you to far away alien planets where people are still dealing with insecurity, rejection, and love. I'll take you to worlds where physics yield to magic and anything can happen.

I like to read other genres besides fantasy and science fiction, but so far I only write fantasy and science fiction.

Originally, I planned to only write fantasy. As much as I like science, I'm no scientist. I didn't want to do the research for a science fiction book.

I like fantasy because I can make up my own rules and as long as I stay within those rules I'm good.

So what was the first book I published? A science fiction trilogy, People of Akiane. I did the best I could on the research. Thankfully, I am blessed with friends who are scientists and who were willing to correct my science. But there came a point when they said, "It's make believe, do what you want." So, I did.

I thought the trilogy would be the last. I moved on to fantasy and a six book series called Krunkie and the Last Dragon Eggs.

Guess what? I have another science fiction story percolating in my brain. (less)

Makes me wonder what I've been doing all this time.

I'm working on a new fantasy series. It stated as one book but my beta readers kept asking questions. I get inspired and come up with more plot.

The over all story is loosely plotted. the first three book plots are more compete. And I writing the first book. (less)

Tribute to My Mother

My mother was born July 21, 1924 100 years ago.

Like most moms, she was not perfect, but she loved me with all her heart and would have given me the moon if she could.

The foundation of who I am today is because of my mother. She taught me responsibility, trustworthiness and to know the difference between right and wrong.

She taught me not to accept someone else’s “no” for my life. She taught me tena
