including the love right in front of you.”
Here it is smh. They are supposed to be casual. I get it feelings can develop and that's fine. But Jordan made it clear her career is first and foremost. It is not fair for him to get mad she is living exactly what she was up front about. She was attacked but does not need to be saved and does not want to deal with a relationship.
“Jordan, are you human? What android raised you?”
flowers.
So he doesn't know that much about her either bringing her least favorite flowers. Then again to his point that is because Jordan doesn't let him. But to Jordan's defense she made it clear it was casual. Casual is the epitome of non personal. Just thought I would reiterate my earlier notes lol.
“A body. Just heard it over the scanner,” he said, then laid out the details like he was reading directly from a police report. “Black female . . . found behind a dumpster at a small barbecue spot . . . 79th and State . . . partially burned . . . wrapped in heavy plastic.”
Damn it tf? These/this bastard(s) are laughing in the police face and taking more young girls lives way to go CPD
I believed Masey’s and Tania’s killer and the man who attacked me were one in the same. When he was unsuccessful in his attempt to take my life and Bass’s that night on the parking deck, he found another life to take.
I wonder why he was not successful with killing Jordan? Likely because he was interrupted. Which questions me to think why would he attack Jordan in her building? Why would be not hunt her where he is more comfortable? Of course if this is indeed the same person.
“It’s not a suggestion,” he said. Off the air? Okay, fine. Off the story? I don’t think so.
Keith had sucker-punched me once again. I leaned close to Ellen’s face so only she could hear what I was about to say. I got on my soapbox yet again, explaining the obvious misogyny in the industry. It reeked like a rotted skunk. “Let’s all imagine, Ellen, a woman—any woman in this building—pulling that stunt.”
Of course make sure the white man get exactly what he wants although he didn't earn it and barely is an asset outside of being white.
missing a rim!
“Yeah, I know you,” he said. “You’re that bitch on TV who got her ass beat.”
Yes this was LaTanya Haggerty killed by a black female officer. The officer reports she had something shiny and piinted it at her and she thought it was gun. It was later found out it was a padlock and witnesses reported that LaTanya did not resist detanment, did not point anything at the officer, and did not act in a threatening way.

I knew enough about police raids to know that whoever was in their line of sight was guilty until proven innocent. I thought about the cell phone I still held in my hand and dropped it to the floor. A Black woman had already been shot to death by police in this city in a similar situation.

“Give me twenty.” The building was closed for the day. Dr. Chan waited by the employees’ entrance. I was astounded by his appearance. He was almost unrecognizable. His cheeks were sunken and his skin was grayish.
Sounds like Dr Chan may be ill. From Jordan noticing thr weight loss earlier, his trip, and now this appearance. I wonder did he go to get treatment in Switzerland?
Self-preservation was the infinite barbed-wire fence between the truth and lies.
It was not what you were accustomed to that mattered, it was how well you could adapt to survive.
