Their greatest scientists raise concerns, but for the longest time nobody wants to listen to the truth.

They are chosen, after all. They are better than the other lemurs and cannot be seen to mix with their inferiors. So they never grow or progress, and sooner or later they die.

“You are gullible. Surrounded by people you don’t know, with your leaders even less knowable, and you are gullible. Someone says a thing to you strongly enough, you believe them. You take confidence for truth.
