To the women who are done with other people’s shit
Kiva couldn’t say that she was fundamentally any different—or hadn’t been until possibly right around the time Heuvel opened his smarmy little mouth—but she did realize that at the moment, the number of fundamentally selfish and self-interested people that human civilization could tolerate, particularly in the social tranche that could actually have an impact on the fate of humanity, had shrunk considerably.
As far as Kiva could tell, whenever selfish humans encountered a wrenching, life-altering crisis, they embarked on a journey of five distinct stages: Denial. Denial. Denial. Fucking Denial. Oh shit everything is terrible grab what you can and run.
“Sophistry can be heuristically generated.” “So millennia of college sophomores have taught us, yes.”
Thank you to the people who make the Freedom app, which is a program I use on my computer to block social media because I cannot be trusted not to check Twitter every twenty seconds. If you need a program to save your attention span from yourself, I can in fact recommend it.
