The Pig will use ALL the intellectual capacity it can borrow from your brain to argue for indulgence. Its ultimate aim is to obliterate your human ability to delay gratification and thoughtfully direct your behavior—
Is your body a great big garbage can, the sole purpose of which is to process as much refuse as possible? And as soon as enough Pig Slop has been emptied from that canister, are you supposed to rush in and fill it up with more garbage? —OR— Or is your body a sacred vessel meant to carry you forward and supply you with energy, peace, and happiness in order to accomplish your goals and live your dreams?
Deciding WHAT KIND OF PERSON YOU WANT TO BE OR ARE BECOMING trumps willpower… Character wins the day.
You do NOT need to know why you Binge. You just need to stop.
You know how to eat healthy. You know how to construct an unambiguous Food Plan, making well-considered, intellectual decisions to balance the tradeoff between short vs. long term gratification and health. You know what a Binge is and what a Binge isn’t. So just don’t Binge again… Ever.
Holding onto guilt and shame for a well-analyzed and corrected mistake is the Pig’s way of doing penance in advance for its plan to Binge again.
You are never going to binge again, so you can and should claim responsibility for every last choice you made in the past. This way the Pig will know you’re always watching… And are prepared to dominate it if it even thinks about getting out of line.
Think of your scale as one of those critical “airplane instruments.” Faithfully take the feedback it provides you with each morning. Interpret the data objectively, and adjust your food and exercise accordingly. It’s that simple.
Binge Anxiety is a big hairy lie which starts and ends with the Pig’s plan to Binge… Any and all doubt in your ability to Never Binge Again is Pig Squeal. Any and all insecurity comes from the Pig.
“What if it doesn’t work?” This question itself is Pig Squeal.
See, Never Binge Again is about restoring your sense of free will and power. It’s a fiercely independent philosophy… You definitely CAN cage the Pig forever – but you’re the ONLY one who can.
perhaps you’d like to Never Procrastinate Again™ so you can comply 100% with your exercise routine, finish your book, and/or do anything else you know you’d be capable of if it weren’t for the self-sabotaging voice inside you which always says “later.”
First we systematically and ruthlessly identify all your trigger foods and eating behaviors… Then we clarify the healthiest decisions you can possibly make when confronted by them… We commit to those decisions as a matter of character (the kind of person you are or the kind of person you are becoming) And we define ANY thought or feeling which suggests we will ever act in the most remote way otherwise as our destructive self (Pig, Junkyard Dog, etc)…
if you adopt the attitude of playing the ‘never binge again’ game...and resolve to be 100% committed to your food plan and caging the pig but are forgiving to yourself and resume the ‘never binge again’ game if you make a mistake... Then there is literally NO way to ‘fail’… you can only STUMBLE…and if you keep getting up the ‘never binge again’ way of life virtually MUST take over your thinking completely so you can truly think like a permanently thin person.
