The information Bowden provides is sketchy but it appears that the median estimate of the CIA officers—the “wisdom of the crowd”—was around 70%. And yet Obama declares the reality to be “fifty-fifty.” What does he mean by that? We have to be careful here because there are actually several possibilities.
