that's stupid. from the story you just heard, things went to shit because Gwynn and Arawn kept things from Matilda. don't keep secrets. the last time you did that, Gabriel was arrested for murder. the three of you have to be in this together.

“I’d like to lie and say I know exactly why you’re asking, but I’ve lost my chance at that. Whatever is making you ask the question, though, clearly you believe the answer is connected to Cainsville. Tell me what’s going on. I can help.”

they're looking in the wrong place. cwn annwn dude asked how her back was, and when she said fine he said you're welcome. i don't think they've made their involvement much of a secret.

“You conveyed no such impression.” I managed to get the words out, my chest frozen, my gut on fire, brain numb. “That is exactly what I meant. Gwynn and Matilda were lovers. Arawn and Matilda were only friends. That’s how things have changed. I’m with Ricky. You and I are friends.”

She doesn't get to play the victim here. Keeping things from him was shitty, and she has done it a few times. They're either in this together or she needs to stop pretending like she's his working partner. I mean, FFS, everything with the original trio went so wrong because they kept secrets.

He wouldn’t be happy about it, but even if he’d all but said We aren’t friends, that thread of basic human decency would bring Gabriel back.

he didn't say that. you keep leaping to these wild conclusions. you should know him better by now. furthermore, it's not fucking about you. in this situation he's the hurt one. you kept a huge secret from him, while making him believe he was the special one you kept no secrets from. and it is a secret that is his right to know. so get the fuck over yourself Oliveden.

From the look I got, this wasn’t the reaction he expected. And what did he expect? That I’d break down sobbing in gratitude that he’d finally come looking for me? Maybe that’s unfair. I was grateful, but I couldn’t forget that he’d taken almost two hours to reply to my frantic call for help.

Get the fuck over yourself. You're not the victim here. You lied to him. Hid important things from him. It has been ONE DAY since he found out. He's allowed to take some time. You're the one who decided you had to come to this place, where a whole bunch of predictably horrible shit happened. Own your actions and stop blaming him for your selfish, dramatic bullshit.
