I couldn’t deal with adding Josie to the growing list of things I felt guilty about.

this stupid book would be 10 pages long if you took out all of the filler words. all this sentence needed to be was “it was strange to see him with this worshipping look in his eyes” the simile and use of “sacrifice” add nothing
