i really don’t understand how she’s THIS stupid !!!!!!!!! i think what kiera cass is trying to show is that she has book smarts but isn’t very emotionally intelligent but even from a strategy standpoint this was such a stupid fucking decision. and also i’m not even fully convinced on what the intentions are for this characterization. so far she’s incredibly rude and spoiled and keeps saying/thinking really mean awful things. she doesn’t have a single redeeming quality. she’s supposedly into fashion and likes designing dresses but then also is very into “reading reports” and looking like a good princess??? and still somehow she’s unaware of the struggles real people are facing so she’s not even good at that either

i think it’s funny whenever people are silent for minutes at a time in books because imagine this happening in real life. conversations don’t work like this. you don’t just respond to something someone said after multiple full minutes
