Nina MacNamara was born and raised in Detroit, MI. She was a storyteller when she by the time could talk; when she learned how to write, she wrote her stories down.

She graduated with a degree in English from Troy University in Troy, AL. She wrote and published her first novel, ICARUS, during her junior year and published it after graduating. Her second novel, A BITTER SPRING came a year later, inspired by her summers in her grandparents' stone farmhouse in Northern Michigan. Both books also have audiobooks available, too! In winter 2023, she published her third novel, THIS IS WHAT YOU WANTED, which is about a young woman's struggle with PTSD.
