This may sounds silly, but the hardest part was "staying with the darker elements of Copper's story." I'm a happy person and try to live a drama-free life, while Copper's life was rife with drama, at every turn.

It was painful to think about, research and write. To know I had to enter that world day after day. I often wanted to throw Pennies away and write a fun rom-com. However, I believe a writer's #1 responsibility is to tell the truth, so I sat with the discomfort and told her truth to the best of my ability.

I just finished Pennies from Burger Heaven and all I can say is wow! Can you give me a hint as to when book 2 will be released? I'm looking forward to learning more about the characters.

You're asking the million dollar question about book #2. I'm hard at work finding the new mystery, but it's not coming easily. I want to say it'll be the end of 2016, but more than likely it'll be 2017. I wish it was faster, but I want to make sure it's another great read for you, and not just throw something out there.
