She came from "back East" somewhere, forced to bear a child for her sister, married an alcoholic and moved across the country to escape them, and she danced on her husband's grave when he died. Where did she come from? What was her family name? How did she escape them ... and how did her husband really die?(less)

Generally, I prefer when the man and woman (or other combination) are equally strong and complement one another, not the stories where one person is pining for another or one is more dominant than another. I don't think that's realistic. Great loves share everything equally. I cannot tell you who's my fave in the Eva series, because they haven't gotten together yet :)(less)

Eva Thorne Book 6The Final Installment

Highcrowne hits the fan when democracy comes to town. Riots, demonstrations, assassination …. One thing you can be sure of is that Eva Thorne will be at the center of it all.

Eva doesn’t want to be the lead candidate for the Human Crown—especially since she’s Solhan and not human at all, and certainly not after the elf interim council declares democracy

"I loved this great urban fantasy romance where we get to meet the kick ass heroine called Roxy, a young witch who did not fit in with her peers, but was yet to discover the powers she had. The convergence was due, and the pact drawn between the three" Read more of this review »

“We must remember what ruthless and utter destruction our own species has wrought, not only upon animals, such as vanished bison and the dodo, but upon its own inferior races. The Tasmanians . . . were entirely swept out of existence in a war of extermination waged by European immigrants, in the space if fifty years. Are we such apostles of mercy as to complain if the Martians warred in the same spirit?”
