Sabriel (Abhorsen, #1)
by
"The fact that "Sabriel" is bellow "Throne of Glass" which is one of the more lazy fantasy books I've read makes me sad. Here in Sabriel is a character who is strong not *only* in the literal sense, but in mind and spirit too. Garth Nix manages to paint many interesting strong female characters, but this one is still one of my most favorites. Again, this should really be higher on this list-- or what has the world come to?"

"Clearly, the world has gone mad. Seeing Sabriel bellow Throne of Glass is almost funny to me but this book?? Which was adapted into the acclaimed movie by Studio Ghibili? Which has Sophie Hatter in it??? Honestly!"
