The Perks of Being a Wallfl...

"I love the dark undertones of the whole situation but even with a screwed up past you can still have a somewhat promising future. You can have friends, and you can have fun times, no matter how bad your life used to be. This book was massively inspirational for me when I was in high school and going through a rough time; where I was broken and sad and felt I was losing my mind. Seeing this book in the top three just shows how many people either loved it for the same reasons I do, or just altogether enjoyed it. "

The Fault in Our Stars

"Another book I found beautiful and inspiring, once again during high school. Still having fun, and living life, when a young death is guaranteed a little bit more than it is for most other people. Love, grenades and a bunch of okays. This is an amazing book that will most likely stay with me forever.

"This book kind of gives you the message of it's okay to be screwed up by your inner demons because one day you will definitely overcome them. It's heartbreaking in the simplest of ways - the loss of friends, the misunderstanding of tales, the image of teen popularity and what you might do to salvage it. It's realistic in the sense that the characters are - the emotions are real and everyone is selfish in the respects that most people would be today. The characters aren't unrealistically selfless, their inner turmoil isn't far fetched, their dreams and aspirations are regular. They're human, but the only thing that's different between me and them is that they live on a page, and they have to go through their story again every time I re-read the book."

Fangirl

"As a Fangirl myself I was able to relate to this book so much - also as a writer of gay fanfiction that is posted on the internet with severe separation anxiety from people I am used to in every day scenarios I could relate to Cath a lot. This book hit me in the feels in a good way. I wasn't sad - but I was able to relate. It was nice to see something like this in a book."

Me and Earl and the Dying Girl

"While I do not mind deep meanings and life lessons - this book showed the reality of a dark situation. You might learn something deep and meaningful, which we saw in The Fault in our Stars by John Green, but in this book it's the complete opposite, which I feel made the main character easy to relate to in that aspect. Because I have a terrible tendency to overlook deep meanings in difficult situations in real life that are stressing me out that give me a lot of negative emotions."

Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens ...

"I liked the fact that the characters acted like actual teenagers. No deep meanings, just immature possibly homophobic assholes - I loved it. That sounds horrible, but if my full review of the book is read you will realise that I genuinely loved the book, so do not let that comment fool you into not reading this book."
