Frankenstein
by
"George Guidall is my all-time favourite audiobook narrator and this book is why. I enjoy listening to audiobooks while puttering around, cooking, cleaning, gardening, knitting, what have you, and also at my paid-work whenever I have the opportunity. I listened to this book in the summer of 2007 while working on a farm. I was stringing up tomatoes with some extra temporary help the owners of the farm had hired (who were complete strangers to me, mind you) and I was listening to this book. When 'the monsters chapter' came on--you know, where the monster tells his life story? I started *Sobbing* and couldn't stop. This is one of the saddest and most tragic stories and I have ever read, and George Guidall's voice was so powerful as to break down the social inhibitions I would normally have about looking crazy in semi-public, and I just sobbed and sobbed and sobbed. All while stringing up tomatoes with strangers standing around awkwardly.

The Three Musketeers
by
"The Three Musketeers was a little too-childish for me to really appreciate, but it was pleasant fluff. Michael Page's narration, is what made that true though. He turned a stupid story into an enchanting tale of some idiots escapades. I believe if the way you tell a bad story can convince the listener they enjoy it, that's certainly a sign of a skilled narrator!"

Salt: A World History
by
"Scott Brick's Narration somehow managed to make a non-fiction story feel as engaging as narrative fiction. He somehow managed to convey emotion and feeling and nuance in his language without over-acting and detracting from the story."

The Master and Margarita
by
"Julian Rhind-Tutt has one of the most enjoyable voices I've ever heard. His narration of The Master and Margarita made me start smiling right in the first 5 minutes. His animated voice moves the story along at a jaunty pace, and just makes me want to squirm with glee. His inflection does an absolutely stunning job of conveying the surrealist and hilarious events unfolding in this masterful (and under-appreciated!) Russian tale."
