Lollipop Power Books

Lollipop Power was a women's publishing collective that operated from 1970 through 1986. Dedicated to publishing children's books with feminist and anti-racist messages, the publishing collective evolved from a consciousness-raising group formed in the 1960s in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The organization acquired tax-exempt status and sold its books at a dollar apiece.
