Sarah Pet peeve. People aren't following the actual topic. There's another list for all eating disorder books, like memoirs that shouldn't be included here..

message 2: by Joni (new)

Joni Thomas Keeping the Moon is about a girl losing a lot of weight, yes, but she doesn't have an eating disorder. Should not be on the list.

message 3: by [deleted user] (new)

Some of these books I haven't read but know from looking at them (description and stuff) they shouldn't be on here...

message 4: by Amelie (new)

Amelie Rae Hi all, I was wondering if anyone knows any YA ED novels with a MALE character?

message 5: by Samiya (new)

Samiya Ummm, this is a list for fictional books, right?! But "Wasted" by Marya Hornbacher is a non-fiction book. A good one, but it doesn't really belong here.

message 6: by Isabel (new)

Isabel Amy wrote: "Hi all, I was wondering if anyone knows any YA ED novels with a MALE character?"

'purge' by sarah darer littman has a male character suffering from an eating disorder. he's not the protagonist, however.

message 7: by Isabel (new)

Isabel I took 'wasted' off the list, since it is a memoir, and not fiction.

message 9: by Autumn (new)

Autumn Amy wrote: "Hi all, I was wondering if anyone knows any YA ED novels with a MALE character?"

'nothing' by Robin Friedman, is about Parker, a high school senior struggling with bulimia

message 10: by Romy (new)

Romy Is there a good one where there's also romance?? The semi-autobiography type or competition between girls has become boring :/

message 11: by Isabel (new)

Isabel I've taken out 'unbearable lightness' as well, since it isn't a novel.

message 12: by Grey (new)

Grey Klee Isn't ED related so I'll just mention in the comments, but it's about a girl who goes on a strict diet and loses a lot of weight. Fat Cat

message 13: by Benji (new)

Benji Amy wrote: "Hi all, I was wondering if anyone knows any YA ED novels with a MALE character?"

A Trick of the Light has a male protagonist with anorexia

message 14: by Annabelle (new)

Annabelle How the HECK did The Fault in Our Stars land up here?? Its a cancer story..not an eating disorder. #just saying :)

message 15: by Raluca (new)

Raluca Lupei Why is The Fault in Our Stars on this list? As far as I remember there was no one suffering from an eating disorder. Am I forgetting something?

message 16: by Romy (new)

Romy I just deleted The Fault in Our Stars for being Miscategorized.

message 17: by Trinda (new)

Trinda "Black Box" is not about eating disorders. It is about depression and suicide, but not EDs.

message 18: by Grey (new)

Grey Klee Amy wrote: "Hi all, I was wondering if anyone knows any YA ED novels with a MALE character?"

It's not about eating disorders but it's about weight loss (which, let's be honest, as hard as it is to find a book about a male MC with an eating disorder it's equally as hard to find a book about a male MC who experiences fatphobia...). Food, Girls, and Other Things I Can't Have

message 19: by Raluca (new)

Raluca Lupei Amy wrote: "Hi all, I was wondering if anyone knows any YA ED novels with a MALE character?"

The Art of Starving

message 20: by Shannon (new)

Shannon Fay if anyone notices other books that do not follow the topic (ie aren't fiction, or aren't actually about eating disorders, please let me know and i can remove them. I've been on a list cleaning kick lately

felipe (taylor’s version) Amelie wrote: "Hi all, I was wondering if anyone knows any YA ED novels with a MALE character?"
