I live in northeast Ohio where I write sci-fi, fantasy, and suspense novels, along with a few short stories. Mostly I write stories I think I'd like to read with characters that are interesting enough that readers want to find out what happens to them. I also spend time building a Japanese strolling garden in the back yard, and taking walks in the woods. I have nine novels in print, the most recent being "Broken Albatross," the third in the Galiwee Visions series, plus a collection of short stories, and a co-authored children’s book. A brand new fantasy trilogy is in the works and should see the first book coming out in 2025. I love hearing back from readers so please feel free to send me your thoughts. ...more

Hi Tony,
Thanks for the question. No epiphany. I have been interested in possible psychic abilities that might be hidden in the human mind and wondered what might happen if someone developed a way to enhance them beyond any normal expectations. Slowly that central idea grew into a novel with the central character driven to do something rash that led to lots of problems for him and those around him. Change is hard to accept for most people and this was change on a cosmic scale so the problems grew in proportion. As for the title, the book went through several working titles before I settled on Foxworth Terminus and that came about because Reggie Foxworth is the character who is changed and Terminus because what he's done will end civilization as we know it. I'm working on a sequel titled Foxworth Continuum the goes into the new order. (less)

As you might expect there is some violence within the story but nothing that isn't in movies or TV shows they are watching and perhaps less than many other popular Young Adult books. (less)

Do You Love Character Backstories?

Is anyone interested in reading more of the back-story from some of the more prominent characters in the Tirumfall Trilogy? How about a group of short stories included in a new book, probably titled The Tirumfall Reader? So far, I have Alicia’s first flight, Dalphnia’s grief after losing her previous husband and how she came to find Gant, how the sheriff became a dragon, and Kabil’s journey after Read more of this blog post »

An interesting look at Mexican baseball after WWII. The writing reminds me of Hemingway, who shows up in the book. This is a side of baseball I was unfamiliar with and learned quite a bit. It is not necessarily a book for everyone who likes baseball.
