Obscene? Yes! Lice, bed bugs, rotten teeth, bad breath, hunger, prostitutes, and depraved whatnot. Yes, it is all here. But it is oh so wonderful!
Miller writes: "I love the words of hysterics and the sentences that flow on like dysentery and mirror all the sick images of the soul;" and that pretty well sums up this book IMHO.
