For ten years I have had this lurking in my bookshelf, looking sad and lonely somewhere behind my nail polishes, waiting patiently and stoically to be picked up. To me, although Dickens is one of my favorite authors, David Copperfield with its less than interesting premise was always the least alluring of his novels. So i finally finished this book, after what felt like 8 months or so. i guess thats a good average as i was reading about 10 pages a day, but it was getting to be a bit of a chore. i loved the story but thought that there were entire parts that could have been ommitted and were added just for girth. i am totally ready to read something modern and easy on the mind.

"To begin my life with the beginning of my life I record that I was born.". (I think that's how it goes)...and from there on proceeds the delightful tale of the life of David Copperfield. One of Dickens best!
