Kinda bereft of sensuality. The film had a superior storyline. In the book, Mina is not Dracula's reincarnated all-time love, she's just some random girl he bites.
Anyway... Sheridan le Fanu conveyed the Victorian horror of sexuality, twenty five years before Bram Stoker, with his lesbian vampire Carmilla.

I love that the story is propelled by various diaries and notations from all the characters. Also, I love the speculations surrounding who Dracula is and what it is that he wants. We never really hear from him other than at the beginning and the brief encounter in the London house and all we do get is reasoning of this righteous band of vanquishers and what they have scrounged up and believe to be Dracula's motivation.
