"Far out in the uncharted backwaters of the unfashionable end of the Western Spiral arm of the Galaxy lies a small unregarded yellow sun."

Douglas Adams was brilliant, and his books are hilarious. Impossibilities abound. Plot twists are ridiculous. Characters are stereotypic. Yet it works, beautifully. This is the first book in his five-book-trilogy (an impossibility in itself--who else could pull it off?) and it's a great read. Arthur Dent, of England, is forced to defend his house from being de

What if the most improbable became the probable? After it became probable, would it then no longer be improbable and have to stop being probable so it could become improbable again to become probable? Does any of this really make sense? Probably not but the answer to the question is 42. Yes, 42.

Imagine that world. Imagine that world where my husband's socks making it to the laundry basket happens only with the slap on the improbability button. Imagine that world where a whole day of customer ser

Worth a read when you want to be entertained.

This book is so fun! The characters get in to outlandish and silly situations as the entire book starts with Earth being destroyed to make room for an intergalactic highway. This on top of the fact that Earth was 5 minutes away from something the mice had been waiting for for 10 million years. Besides it's fun and funny parts, it actually does slightly breach the big questions of life and why we're here. ...more
