Every new Gena Showalter series I pick up fascinates me further. Whether it’s her paranormal adult novels or her YA books, I’m always highly entertained. This series is no exception! Sleep was not to be had until I finished this book last night. Now I will say there wasn’t much in the way of a connection to the Lewis Carroll classic Alice in Wonderland. Still I absolutely couldn’t put it down. I haven’t exactly read much in the way of zombie novels, but this was wonderful and warm in spite of th

This is a hard book for me to rate. The idea seemed fun but I just found it too religious. I mean she may as well just chucked a sermon at me. It was like Christian rock, trying really hard to be something but ultimately it's just a god sell, which just doesn't appeal to me.

So this was my very first zombie book. I won't lie, I was a little skeptical at first, I mean really, zombies? I'm glad I picked this book up! It was refreshing and full of action packed scenes and of course a slow building romance.
What I really enjoyed about this book is that Gena Showalter kept the zombies as zombies. Usually the creatures of then night turn out to be the love interest or they turn out to be good instead of evil but in Alice in Zombieland, ...more

I really enjoyed this book! I can't wait to read the next one. I was hesitant to read it. I tend to avoid scary books due to the very vivid nightmares I frequently have. Don't let the title fool you! This book is not scary! I was a little bit turned off halfway through as I found the love story reminding me of Edward Cullen and Bella Swan from Twilight (except that Ali, despite her dumb decisions was much more bad ass and less annoying).
