Listening to audio as opposed to reading the book is a very different experience. It's obvious that the narrator was influenced by the David Lynch movie (though for some reason instead of a Scot's accent, Gurney sounds very Irish, though Liet sounds vaguely like Max Von Sydow [he played the part in the movie]).

I can't say enough good things about this book. I read it several years ago, and was blown away. An awesome, complex universe, and a story of the most influential groups in that universe. The mystery surrounding the spice, the political power struggles, and the way that Herbert delves into the minds of his characters are what keep me reading the books in this series.
