Shelves: 100-in-2012, fantasy
This was a book with an interesting premise that didn't quite live up to the hype (at least for me).
I found the setting to be well thought out and the characters for the most part were 3 dimensional and well realized. Sometimes their motivations and personalities seemed to get a bit cardboard-y (hush, it's a word!).

I really liked the story however, and am looking forward to seeing what else comes from this author. ...more
