Lunayan bingung buat review buku ini, agak-agak gak paham walau saya menikmati bacanya. Apa mungkin saya harus baca versi Bahasa Inggrisnya seperti The Graveyard Book karya Mr. Gaiman yang sudah saya baca sebelumnya.

Seorang pria kembali ke rumah dimasa kecilnya setelah pemakaman, dan singgah ke rumah tetangganya. Disinilah mulai meluncurlah kenangan pria ini akan masa kecilnya. Pria ini sampai akhir cerita gak disebutin namanya, disebutkan saja Pencerita.

I'm giving this book 4 stars because Neil Gaiman is an amazing reader. With that said, I wasn't crazy about this book. The story grabbed me for about the first quarter of the book, and then I kind of lost where it was going. Maybe it was the lack of adventuring/questing that I found in the previous book I read by Neil Gaiman, "Neverwhere", but this current book was much less exciting.

Ich muss dem Buch 5 Sterne geben, auch wenn es nicht unbedingt ein Buch für mich war. Soviel ich Fantasy liebe, mit abstrakten Geschichten über Geister und Monster, etc. kann ich einfach nicht so viel anfangen. Ich mag's eher wenn der Fantasyanteil noch wissenschaftlich irgendwie Sinn macht. Trotzdem ist das Buch wahnsinnig toll geschrieben und ich hatte das Gefühl, dass ich Neil Gaiman unendlich lieben würde, wenn er ein Nicht-Fantasy-Buch schreiben würde.
