What Members Thought

I read a sample of this ages ago and didn't think I wanted to read it. But then i saw a poster for the movie, thought it is something I'm likely to want to see, so decided to read the book first :-)
I really enjoyed it. I like that Tris is a tough, powerful girl and that Four likes that in her. The dystopian world in Divergent is interesting, and I am intrigued by the world created in the book. I was left wanting more, and to find out what is next once the accepted social order has fallen apart. ...more

In this book the characters are contained within the city of chicago and must be one of 5 character traits. For the first 16 years of life they are whatever their parents are and during year 16 they test and then choose what they want to be for the rest of their lives. We meet the heroine in her 16th year. After her choosing ...more

I liked this book but didn't love it. Maybe it's cause I seen the movie first, I don't know. I would probably give it a 3.5 stars.
Some of the problem with this book for me is I keep wanting to compare it to "The Hunger Games" and I loved that series. So maybe that's why I can't decide on this one.
I really liked the reader on this audio. They picked the right person to read this. That makes a world of difference when you like the reader.
