What Members Thought

After finishing up this book last night, I couldn't get to sleep. I just laid in bed and thought about it. What we do everyday, what we say heck what we DON'T do or DON'T say everyday plays some roll in someone's life. You could be one of the names on someones list, you could be the one who could have said just the right thing to stop it. Or you could have been that person to set the snowball rolling. And if you are on someones list, here's hoping your role is Clay.

Very easy reading. It is a poignant tale & it shows the build-up effect that can lead to a major cataclysm. I can believe that a teenager would think this way, internalising & self-centred, & wondering why no one can see their pain. Why should I have to tell anyone, they should be able to see how I'm feeling.

The message was profound and astounding for a contemporary teen novel. The impression— thoughtful and moving. It detailed in stirring first-person view how each of our actions impact the lives of others. Although we are all responsible for our own actions, influenced or not, we can each be a little more brave in reaching out to others who might be slipping, falling. A must-read.

I didn’t buy the main character as the type of person who would commit suicide. She had too much passion and so little depression. She also said that she was just going to wait the year out, but then never explains why she changed her mind.
I really liked the construct of the story, though. Following the story between two different narrators gave an interesting perspective and dynamic.

Prose were well done moving between character with deft ease and the town and places were well built. But in the end I felt little for the two mains. Sure there were morals weaved in on the dangers of inaction and the destructive nature of rumors. But in the end I just wanted it over.
