What Members Thought
This is so not what I expected. I was expecting a nice feel good story about love, family, sisterly bonding with a bit of magic involved. Instead what I got is a book about a bunch of miserable shallow people. Like othes have said it is very rapey. All men are sexually attracted to the women mostly Gillian. I felt the need to read about the Owens family in chronological order. So, I finally got to book #3 the day before Halloween and finished it on the ween. I was, however, worried I'd be basically reading a script from the movie. Very glad to say it was about <25% of the movie with the majority being a new story for me.

An entertaining read. I enjoyed the magical notions / superstitions that Sally and Gillian saw their aunts conduct over the years. The ending could have been a little stronger, but a light and fun read nonetheless.
